My Top Three
Not ranked by strength. Not ranked by popularity.
Just listed in the order I discovered them—and the order they stuck.
Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
My first superhero love. The blueprint. Loud, funny, reckless, and somehow still loyal to the core. He wasn’t the leader, or the smartest, or the most serious—but he showed me early that heart counts more than perfection. Plus, nunchucks and pizza? Cultural impact.
Gambit (X-Men)
This was the moment things got cooler. Gambit didn’t just fight—he styled on villains. The accent, the trench coat, the charged cards. He felt dangerous but controlled, like chaos with manners. He made being an outsider look confident instead of lonely.
Spider-Man (Miles Morales)
This one hit different. Miles isn’t just a superhero—he’s becoming one in real time. He messes up. He doubts himself. He carries expectations that don’t feel fair. Watching him grow into the role felt personal, like seeing someone figure out who they are while the world’s watching.
Three heroes. Three eras of my life.
Same theme every time: heart first, powers second.
